Gunners belts & lanyards
Lite Flite produces gunner belts, a.k.a. monkey belts or body positioning straps,
and all sorts and lengths of lanyards for securing the crew during open door missions.
Gunners Belts
Lite Flite gunner belts come in multiple configurations, all built from the same basic construction; A wide, reinforced lumbar support that can be adjusted in the waistline from small to large. Step-in models do not open at front, they are most suitable when used with a lanyard with Personal Quick Release. Standard models opens at front by means of a single -dual action- clicklock buckle. For added security, you can choose to have dual -dual action- clicklock buckles.
Fixed or removable lanyard
Our gunner belts are equipped with either a fixed lanyard or a movable tang/d-ring combination for attaching a removable lanyard. The attachment point can be moved to the left or right sides, or placed in the center if that is preferred
Standard
Like the rest of our helicopter equipment, the hardware utilised are made of corrosion treated stainless steel and anodized aluminum, as they are sea water resistant and need minimal daily maintenance.
Lanyards & connectors
The lanyard attachment point at Lite Flite NG Hoist Harnesses and Gunners Belts accept all lanyards, whether it is snapped on by a karabiner, Personal Quick Release (PQR) or a dual action clicklock buckle.
At the top end all lanyards are equipped with a karabiner. In most cases, it is our carefully selected, narrow body, dual action karabiner that fits all anchor points. Optionally, it can be a stainless steel karabiner. In any case, our karabiners are all EN362 type approved.
The lanyards come in almost any length and are equipped with a length adjuster element that does not loosen due to vibrations and wind blast.
Type certification
Lite Flite Gunners Belts and Lanyards are type tested and -approved iaw European Council Regulative 2016/425 and associated European Norm EN358:2018 etc. The EC Regulative has replaced the old, so-called Fall Protection Directive 89/686.
Release to service is on CoC and the User Guide include an additional EC Declaration of Conformity.
